Swiss Garden (Schweizergarten)

An 11.4-hectare English-style landscape park in Vienna's 3rd district, established in 1904 and renamed in 1920 to honor Switzerland's aid to Vienna after WWI. Features varied topography with surprising altitude changes, large ponds with rock sections and fountains, an alpine plant garden, and exotic trees. Home to Belvedere 21 contemporary art museum with its free sculpture garden. Adjacent to the Belvedere Palace, forming part of Vienna's largest inner-city green space.
