What to Expect
Stanley Park has a lot to offer. Explore the rainforest, or walk or bike along the Seawall for great views. There are dedicated bike paths and walking trails.
You can also visit the Vancouver Aquarium, which is in the park.
The park is large, about 405 hectares, so plan to spend at least a half-day to fully enjoy the rainforest, Seawall, and other things to do, like bird watching.
Tips & Tricks
Here are a few tips to make the most of your trip to Stanley Park. Cycling the entire Seawall loop is a great way to see the park and enjoy views of the water and skyline.
Visit the historic lighthouse on Brockton Point. It's on the easternmost point of the park and is a nice spot for a photo. Bird watching is free. Pack a picnic instead of buying food at the park's cafe for a more relaxed and cheaper meal.
Best Times to Visit
Go early in the morning for a quieter experience. You'll find fewer people on the walking trails and bike paths. Weekdays are also less busy than weekends, so you can stroll along the Seawall or watch birds in peace.
In the evening, head to the park's western edges for sunset views over English Bay. Spring and summer are great times to visit to see the park's greenery.
